Value Quantification
Also known as: Economic Value, ROI, Business Case
H-BMC Block 6 — the economic case for institutional buyers, translating clinical value into measurable financial impact.
Full Definition
Value Quantification builds the economic argument for economic buyers by connecting the clinical value the solution creates to the financial metrics institutions care about: cost savings, revenue enhancement, efficiency gains, and risk reduction. It is not enough to demonstrate that a solution improves outcomes — economic buyers need to understand what that improvement is worth in dollars. Value Quantification requires a rigorous, evidence-based calculation, not an assertion.
Example
A remote monitoring platform reduces 30-day readmissions by 18%. Value Quantification translates this: at $15,000 per avoidable readmission and 500 applicable patients per year, the platform saves the health system $1.35M annually against a $200K annual subscription cost.
