Tier 4 rules are not violations in the traditional sense — they describe missed opportunities rather than errors. Teams that violate these rules collect only what they knew to ask for and fail to expand their stakeholder network. The three Signal & Access rules are: No Binary Questions, No Homework Questions, and Finish with Open Expansion.
Example
A team that closes every interview with 'Thanks, that was helpful' leaves referrals, missed insights, and future access on the table. A team that closes with the three-question sequence routinely discovers their most valuable contacts and findings through those final minutes.
